We have previously introduced in detail the classic Chinese medicine prescriptions - Sijunzi Decoction and Siwu Decoction. The combination of the Eight Treasures and the Four Gentlemen has a unique therapeutic effect on Qi and blood

As the saying goes, "Four Ingredients, Rehmannia Glutinosa, Radix Paeoniae Alba, and Rhizoma Chuanxiong are a prescription that cures all diseases related to blood. Eight Treasures combined with Four Gentlemen Decoction have a unique effect on both Qi and blood." Eight Treasures Decoction not only inherits the Qi-invigorating and spleen-strengthening effects of Four Gentlemen Decoction, but also has the blood-tonifying and blood-activating effects of Four Ingredients Decoction, making this prescription a prescription that replenishes both Qi and blood and is quite familiar to many people.

"Bazhen Soup" is mainly composed of the main medicinal ingredients of Sijunzi Soup and Siwu Soup.

Taboos of Eight Treasures Soup

  • Patients with loss of appetite and severe diarrhea should not take this medicine to avoid aggravating their symptoms.

  • Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and those who are menstruating should not use it: Since Bazhen Tang has the effects of Siwu Tang, it can promote blood circulation and regulate endocrine. Therefore, using it during pregnancy and breastfeeding may have adverse effects on the fetus or infant. If consumed during menstruation, it may cause increased menstrual blood volume and prolonged menstruation.

  • Menstrual abnormalities : People with menstrual abnormalities should stop taking the medicine and find out the cause before taking supplements. Menstrual abnormalities include early menstruation, abdominal distension, excessive blood clots, bright red blood, etc.

  • Use with caution for those with severe symptoms such as dizziness, heat sensation and restlessness : Chuanxiong and Angelica dahurica have the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Excessive use may aggravate symptoms such as dizziness, heat sensation and restlessness.

  • Use with caution in patients with high blood pressure, heart disease, high blood sugar, etc .: Rehmannia has a tonic effect and may affect blood sugar, so it should be used under the guidance of a doctor.

  • Inflammation and heat constitution : Bazhen Tang is a warm tonic. It is not suitable for people with dry and hot constitution or when they are in the inflammation period. Extra tonic will make the symptoms of getting angry more obvious. There are side effects such as dry mouth, sore throat, mouth sores or acne. More serious cases may even cause nosebleeds or cause early menstruation and excessive menstrual flow. • People with cold diseases or indigestion should not use it: Bazhen Tang and Siwu Tang have the same warming and nourishing effect, and are suitable for people with insufficient qi and blood, and yin deficiency, but not for people with cold constitution, spleen and stomach deficiency. Because cooked rehmannia, white peony root, and angelica root are not easy to digest and absorb, people with poor gastrointestinal function will easily get bloating or diarrhea after eating them.

  • While taking Bazhen Soup, you should avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, greasy and other irritating foods.
